Mission Soaring Center has been serving the Northern California hang gliding community since 1973. Owner Pat Denevan is a leader in the development of modern hang gliding training standards and the USHGA Instructor Certification Program. In 2001, he received the United States Hang Gliding Association's instructor of the year award.

The Mission Soaring Hang Gliding school provides professional training on state-of-the-art equipment at our dedicated training site near Hollister, California, just south of the San Jose/ San Francisco Bay Area. All your future pilot needs are supplied by our complete Sales/Service facility in Milpitas, California. Our wide range of hang gliders can handle new and advanced pilots of different sizes ranging from 90 to 290 pounds. When the wind is calm, we use a special slow flying hang glider for an easy introduction to hang gliding. We are ready to help you become a pilot today!
